The number one citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari will today, November 23, 2022, unveil the newly redesigned N200, N500, and N1,000 notes.
This is made known by the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele at the end of the last Monetary Policy Committee, MPC, meeting in Abuja.
Emefiele noted that Buhari will unveil the new notes by 10:00 in the Council Chambers during the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting.
However, the CBN Boss did not give any reason for bringing forward the unveiling of the new notes from December 15, 2022.
