The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj Gen Musa Danmadami, have disclosed that at least eight terrorists were killed and four kidnapped victims were rescued on Friday by the Troops of Operation Forest Sanity of the Nigerian Army in Zamfara State.

Maj. Gen Musa Danmadami, confirmed this, stating that the terrorist camps that were attacked were located at Dutse Uku forest in Lanke and Danmarke villages in the Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara.

Danmadami added that the Nigerian military personnel, while on the fighting patrol engaged the terrorists in a shootout and neutralised eight bandits, while others scampered for safety with gunshot wounds.

He claimed that the soldiers used the general area after the firefight to rescue four kidnapped victims.
