
A comic relief ensued at the presidential debate organised by Arise Television and a group, Centre for Democracy and Development on Sunday as supporters of the Labour Party showed disgusts at the event for some minutes over the appearance of Ifeanyi Okowa, the vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, instead of the actually presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubaka
The OBIdient supporters who earlier vouched that they would not allow Okowa to represent the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar at the debate, later asked Obi to leave the venue.
Subsequently, Reuben Abati, the anchor of the programme pleaded with the presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, to calm his supporters down.
However, Peter Obi disassociated OBIdient supporters from those constituting nuisance at the events
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his vice-presideential candidate were among those who failed to attend the debate
Nevertheless, present at the debate were the presidential candidates of the New Nigerians Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwakwanso; Peoples Redemption Party, Kola Abiola and Obi.
